Cross-contamination
This is the most common trap. You eat “gluten-free” but the toaster held a wheat rusk. The knife cut a regular sandwich. The pan seared wheat pasta yesterday. For people with celiac disease, those traces trigger a reaction. The app offers recipes designed without contamination (dedicated utensils, order of preparation).
Eating out at a restaurant
The app includes a restaurant card to show servers (in French + English + 12 other EU languages) that explains precisely what celiac disease is, the contaminations to avoid, and the safe substitutions. More effective than explaining it every time.
Morning fasted weigh-in
If you weigh yourself as part of celiac follow-up (regaining weight post-diagnosis), do it in the morning upon waking, fasted (06:30-08:00). Do not weigh in the evening: bloating from a recent contamination would distort the reading.
